Mushroom Stroganoff


  • 500 g chestnut mushrooms
  • 600 g sirloin
  • 1 onion
  • 200 g gherkins
  • 150-200 ml cooking cream
  • mustard
  • parsley
  • oil, salt and pepper

Slice the mushrooms, meat and pickled gherkins into strips.

Fry the finely chopped onion, then add the meat, season with salt and pepper, and fry for 3–4 minutes. Add the mushroom strips and sauté for a further 2–3 minutes before adding the gherkins. Stir in the mustard and cream,
then sprinkle with the finely chopped parsley at the very end.

This dish is very quick to prepare. It’s important to use sirloin only. Serve immediately, accompanied with boiled potatoes, for example.
