Mushroom stuffed kohlrabi


  • 500 g button mushroom
  • 125 g rice
  • 6-8 kohlrabi
  • 1 onion
  • sour cream
  • grated cheese
  • sweet paprika
  • salt and pepper

Cook the rice.

Sauté the diced onion and add diced mushrooms. Season with sweet paprika and salt. Mix into the rice. If there is too much liquid, drain so the rice stays firm.

To stuff the kohlrabi, peel and remove the top third. This will form the lid. Scoop out most of the middle to create small baskets. Parboil in a little water. When cool, stuff with the mushroom rice mixture.

Place in a grill pan so it cooks prettily. Brush with sour cream, grate cheese over the top and bake till golden brown.

Cut the baby marrows in half and remove the seeds. Stuff, brush with sour cream and cook until golden brown as in the picture.
