Oyster mushroom steak with fried potatoes

Beef burger with mushroom


  • 1 big bunch of oyster mushroom per person
  • 2 tablespoons canned tomato pasta
  • 5 tablespoons brown soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 5 teaspoons oil
  • 1 kg of french fries
  • oil, salt
  • cherry tomatoes and iceberg lettuce to serve

You need an oyster mushroom with large leaves and in bunch, 1 bunch per person. Put a whole bunch in the hot pan with 1-2 teaspoons of oil. With another pan, gently begin to press the top of the bunch until it is completely flattened. Bake for 1-2 minutes, then turn over, flatten and bake for 1-2 minutes. Take it out of the pan and prepare the next portion. Continue until all 4 portions have been baked.
Then prepare the marinade. Peel the garlic, grate it, then mix it with the tomato paste, soy sauce and honey. Coat both sides of the flattened mushroom with this marinade and leave it also int he fridge for one to two hours. At this point we can continue to prepare the mushrooms in three ways: (1) fry the mushrooms on a garden grill for 2-3 minutes (2) fry the mushrooms in a pan for 2-3 minutes (3) fry the mushrooms in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes
Fry the potatoes and serve with the mushrooms. Tomatoes and salads can be added to taste.
